This version is supplied without a trocar, for insertion via an open surgical technique rather than a trocar-guided puncture.
Cross-side eyes at the distal end are designed to reduce the risk of tissue being drawn into the drainage holes.
The catheter is marked every 2 cm from the last eye and has a radio-opaque line, so placement can be checked and confirmed on X-ray.
